Programs


Children & Charity International (CAC) since its formation has successfully worked with community and faith-based leaders, government agencies, local businesses, and community organizations in the United States; and agencies and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Ghana, Haiti, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and the United Kingdom dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural and indigenous communities with education, direct feeding, and healthcare programs.


United States of America


Children & Charity International (CAC) is accredited by the District of Columbia Public Schools to provide academic and enrichment programs for kindergarten thru college level students. These expanded programs are designed to improve the academic performance of students and increase the number of Washington Metropolitan Area students in grades K thru College who are knowledgeable about or interested in STEM career fields. CAC also provides enrichment and socialization for youth in the Cultural Arts - introducing theatre arts, music, dance, drama, poetry, story telling and craft. CAC conducts a wide variety of programs and enrichment activities that benefit children, youth, and adults and include:

General Disaster Relief


CAC continues to provide general disaster relief support by donating diapers, clothes, and other supplies.

International


International agencies like the UNHCR, UNICEF and UNDP highlight the plight of refugees and displaced people around the globe, and project sustainable development goals to help end the crisis. The World Bank Group (WB), stresses that the world is undergoing a major population shift with far-reaching implications for migration, poverty, and development and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) outlines measures being implemented to tackle the humanitarian crisis that has impacted economies. CAC international efforts are collaborated through a network of United States and International agencies - PVOs, NGOs, small businesses, community leaders, churches and community groups. Under CAC's Outreach, Takeback, and Venture programs we support and initiate sustainable community empowerment efforts through education, healthcare, nutrition, economic development projects, and disaster relief.


Kenya: Project Reports and Photos
(1) Supports Care For A Child's Heart to provide heart surgeries, including pre- and post-surgery care, transportation, medicine, and family support for poor children from Nairobi Kenya and nearby African countries.

(2) Supports education and literacy development for orphans and destitute children from 12 districts in Eldoret Kenya.


Liberia/Ghana: Project Reports and Photos
Sponsors the education of poor children and families through Children and Charity Liberia Project. These children and families repatriated back to Liberia from the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Accra Ghana and are finding it difficult to cope. We conduct Seminars for youth on Teenage Pregnancy and HIV/AIDS annually. We provided Disaster Relief during the Ebola Outbreak. Our team collaborates with local partners on energy and development projects. CAC Ghana supports food relief; an education project for children with autism; and micro enterprises. Overall, these programs benefit 140,000 plus children and families.


Nigeria:: Project Reports and Photos
Sponsors an education program at Rumuodumanya located in Port-Harcourt Rivers State Nigeria. The first school was recently expanded into three schools to now accommodate: pre-nursery, nursery, and primary students.


Sierra Leone: Current SIGA Projects
Supports Siera Grass-roots Agency (SIGA) projects. The Movement to Educate Children in Work Situation project at Mile 91, Tonkolili District, Sierra Leone is sdesigned to remove 200 children each school year in work situation from the streets and enroll them into primary schools in the Tonkolili District, Northern Sierra Leone. Also support women in skills trade, and small business enterprises.


Uganda:
Sponsors JILAI project of preparing Christian laborers for the vineyard. Also support outreach efforts to alleviate socioeconomic marginalization of orphans and children with disabilities in communities.


Haiti: Read about Mission Trips
Sponsors the education of 300 Elementary and 200 Secondary school children in Port-au-Prince, and Merger Haiti; Sponsors a summer youth program with daily meals for 300 orphan children; Supports Miracia Hospital in providing free medical and dental clinics to mothers, childre,n and elderly people in Merger, Jacmel and Arcahaie. Trinidad and Tobago: Project Reports and Photos
1. Collaborates with Councillor Jodi Johnson of the San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation to support the Summer and Christmas Back to School and Fun Events.

2. Children & Charity International also sponsors a Young Mothers Program providing assistance to teenage mothers so they can continue their education, get jobs, and take care of themselves and family.
