Children & Charity International provides education, leadership, and nutrition programs along with mentoring and healthcare support services to children, youth, and families. We also work with organizations and governmental agencies to initiate sustainable development projects.
Ongoing Relief Efforts!
Expanded Learning Opportunities:
(a) Afterschool Tutoring and Homework Help: Students from Kindergarten to 8th grade receive homework help and tutoring in mathematics, reading, and language arts, to improve grades and test scores; and engage in technology enrichment and social activities. Monday to Friday 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, throughout the school year.
(b) Science and Technology Program: Students from Kindergarten to 10th grade explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM-based) activities, as afterschool enrichment from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday or Saturdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm throughout the school year.
(c) Peer Mentoring Project: Youth 12 to 18 years lend their voices, hands, and minds to engaging and interactive discussions, about life experiences in their development including dealing with challenges, successes, and failures, 2 days per week afterschool. They brainstorm about possible solutions, and why they need to make smart decisions that would have positive impact in their lives. Contact us for further details.
Summer Programs 2017:
Summer STEM Program
Students in K-8th grade may register for six weeks of STEM-based activities scheduled from June 26 to August 4, 2017. Program will include math, science, and technology with reading and creative arts. Field trips to museums, libraries, and other places of interest add much fun. Free breakfast and lunch will be served daily.
Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)
District Youth 14-24 years old, are invited to join Children & Charity International for your 2017 SYEP summer work experience. You will be engaged in a variety of activities like, exploring STEM, strengthening leadership and work readiness skills, holding apprenticeships at local businesses, and refining culinary and cosmetology techniques. Field trips and recreational activities will provide great fun.
